Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Wayx Ltd (Company No. 15663481), registered in England & Wales, provides the software behind yoursay.ai, a platform that supports online campaigning for third-party organisations such as charities, advocacy groups, and companies. These organisations—referred to as campaign owners—create and manage their own campaigns using our tools. We do not control the content of these campaigns, the messages they generate, or their intended recipients. If you have questions about a specific campaign, please contact the campaign owner directly.
When you participate in a campaign through yoursay.ai, the data you submit is collected and processed by us on behalf of the campaign owner, who acts as the data controller. They will have their own privacy policy outlining how they handle your personal data. We encourage you to review it carefully, as it may govern your data more significantly than this policy.
2. What Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following types of personal information:
- Information you provide when taking part in a campaign action (e.g. name, email address, postal address) and any derived data such as your parliamentary constituency.
- Technical data related to your visit, including your IP address and timestamps.
- Any other personal information you provide through communication with us (e.g. via email).
- In certain circumstances, messages submitted through our platform may contain or imply sensitive personal data (e.g. political opinions, religious beliefs, racial or ethnic origin, trade union membership, or sexual orientation). Participation in such campaigns is entirely voluntary and any sensitive information shared is deemed to be given with your explicit consent.
- We may also collect personal data from our business customers for account management, billing, and related operations.
Our platform uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse usage patterns, improve functionality, and enhance user experience. These may store personal data and be shared with trusted third parties to support service delivery.
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To support campaign owners: Data submitted through campaign actions is shared with the campaign owner and may be used in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- To operate and improve our services: We use personal data to manage our systems, improve user experience, and support internal business functions, including Organic Campaigns Ltd.
- To comply with legal obligations: We may process your data where required by law.
4. Sharing Your Data
- Campaign owners: They are responsible for handling the data once received. Their policies govern further processing.
- Third-party service providers: We may share data with trusted subprocessors (e.g. AWS, Vercel) who assist with hosting and maintaining our services. These providers are evaluated for security and compliance, and appropriate contracts are in place.
- Legal authorities: We may disclose data to comply with legal requirements, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our business or others.
- Analytics and reporting: Aggregated data (without personal identifiers) may be used for business or technical analysis.
Although Wayx Ltd is based in the UK, data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in these situations.
5. Data Retention
- Data collected during a campaign may remain in our active systems for up to 12 months to allow for campaign analysis and export by the campaign owner.
- Backup archives, used for system integrity, may retain data for up to 24 months before secure deletion or anonymisation.
6. Your Rights
You have several rights under data protection law:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate or outdated information.
- Erasure: In certain cases, you can request deletion of your data from our live systems (note: backups may retain data until routine purge).
